About me

My background

I've been obsessed with positive reward-based dog training and behaviour for over 20 years.
My current dog is an energetic lab collie cross and training her basic behaviours just wasn't enough to fulfil her, but high energy situations would make her lose all focus.
I joined the Pro Dog Trainer programme (delivered by veterinary behaviourist Tom Mitchell and Team GB agility coach Lauren Langman) and found the games-based behaviour approach they use to be just what most pet dog owners require: a simple, fun way to train dogs using brain-shaping games. Dogs develop concepts such as optimism, focus, confidence and calmness - while learning new skills.
I am committed to continually learning and I became a certified Pro Dog Trainer, hold a diploma in Canine Behaviour Training and Scentwork UK Trainer level 1 certificate. I've attended several Institute of Modern Dog Trainer courses as well as completing classes and courses delivered by some of the best dog trainers in the world.
I worked at Battersea Dogs Home as a rehabilitation trainer for dogs with behaviour issues which made them difficult to rehome, and have also spent several years assisting at training classes.
My experience means I have the solutions to your dog's struggles and will tailor training to your dog's lifestyle and previous learning history.
Like all good personal trainers, I have lots of equipment and tricks in my kit that your dog will benefit from such as scent work, hoopers, agility, parkour and enrichment apparatus.
